A Tribute To Lucy

The past 72 hours have been a blur for me. My beloved 12 year old tabby cat, Lucy suddenly stopped eating and after testing, was shown to have organ failure due to cancer and she crashed so quickly I could hardly wrap my head around it. Everywhere I turn, it hits me like a cold wave. Cats are incredibly stoic. Yesterday, she could hardly lift her head but followed me with her eyes, everywhere. I had to be strong for her, give her the ending she deserved and it was peaceful, tearful as she closed her eyes for the very last time. I will miss you so much my little lucy, but am so lucky to have had you share our lives.
